CLASS A Teacher's Gradebook for use on the IBM PC under DOS 2.0 and
higher versions. Requires DOS 2.0+ and 256K with an 80 column
color or B&W monitor. Additional memory will be required to handle
a class larger than about 200 students, but 384K should handle the
maximum permitted class size of 500 students. A printer (80 column
or wider) is desirable but not required.
Version 1.1 Copyright 1986 by
Kenneth L Lindsay, Aiga Publications, PO Box 148, Laie, HI 96762.
Version 1.1 has been released because we have learned that most of the
PC-CLASS.DOC User's Manual is missing from some of the original distribution
disks because of a duplication error. Holders of the original distribution
disks (without a version number on the label) are urged to destroy them and
replace them with this Version 1.1 disk, even though all of the files except
PC-CLASS.DOC are identical in both versions.
Documentation for this program may be found in two files: INSTALL.DOC (which
should be read first) and PC-CLASS.DOC. The most convenient way to view these
files is to use the DOS MORE command:
1) Place your DOS system disk in Drive A and the PC-CLASS disk in Drive B.
2) At the A> prompt, enter: MORE<B:INSTALL.DOC (or MORE<B:PC-CLASS.DOC)
Make sure that the < points in the right direction!!
3) Then press any key to view additional screenfuls of documentation.
Another approach is to use the DOS TYPE command: Place the PC-CLASS disk in
Drive A, and at the A> prompt enter: TYPE INSTALL.DOC (or TYPE PC-CLASS.DOC).
The documentation file will scroll up the screen too fast to read, but you
may interrupt the scrolling at any point by pressing Ctrl S and then resume
scrolling by pressing Ctrl S again.
You may also make a hard copy of INSTALL.DOC and PC-CLASS.DOC. Place the
PC-CLASS disk in Drive A, turn on your printer, and at the A> prompt,
enter LIST INSTALL.DOC (or LIST PC-CLASS.DOC).
